We’re Australia’s fastest-growing political media platform, making politics engaging, accessible, and actually entertaining. With millions of views every week, we expose corporate influence, political corruption, and the systems rigged against everyday Aussies—all through sharp, shareable content.

Now, we need a talented Video Editor & Content Executive to help us scale our impact. If you live for story-driven editing, thrive in fast-paced digital media, and want to use your skills to hold power to account—this role’s for you.

🎞 About the Role
You’ll work directly with founder Konrad to craft punchy, platform-optimised videos that cut through the noise. This isn’t just editing—it’s storytelling with a purpose. You’ll take long-form interviews and turn them into viral shorts, design thumb-stopping YouTube tiles, and help shape Punters’ signature style across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Spotify.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Edit short and long-form videos in Punters’ bold, engaging style (using DaVinci Resolve + Resolve Cloud workflows).
  • Create YouTube thumbnails, social tiles (Canva), and cutdowns for TikTok/Reels that actually get clicks.
  • Script assist—help refine draft content using Konrad’s research and preferred sources.
  • Organise content into playlists, schedules, and systems (we use Notion).
  • Collaborate across platforms—spotting trends, repurposing clips, and testing new formats.

What We’re Looking For
🔥 Essentials:

  • Proven short-form editing chops (branded, political, or documentary-style content is a huge plus).
  • DaVinci Resolve mastery (including colour grading and cloud workflows).
  • Own professional editing setup (you’ll be working remotely).
  • Killer sense of pacing, sound design, and visual storytelling.
  • Canva skills for thumbnails/graphics.
  • Organised - you’ll manage multiple projects independently.
  • High level communication - as online & WFH excellent communication about projects is necessary
  • Willing to travel to events and assist in capturing content (like our Political Fundraising Dinner)

Interested in career progression? Demonstrate excellent communication, project management and team working and you'll you'll be managing a video editor as well!

  • Familiarity with Australian politics (or a hunger to learn fast).
  • Experience with Notion, Discord, or collaborative tools.
  • A gut feel for the Punters Politics brand (watch a few videos—you’ll get it).
