Stop Being Politically Useless: Lessons from a Bloke who Told Tucker Carlson to F*** Off

1️⃣ Stop Being "Awareness Addicts": Bregman calls out the podcast/social media cycle (including Konrad!) where we consume political content to feel informed but never actually DO anything. "It's political hobbyism. Awareness is just the starting point, not the endpoint.
2️⃣ Become "Radical Nerds: Real change happens in boring policy reports and understanding exactly how laws get made. We need people who know the system inside-out, like James Stephen (an abolitionist lawyer who found a legal loophole that banned 75% of the slave trade while politicians weren't even paying attention).
3️⃣ Historical movements took DECADES: 50+ years to abolish slavery, 75 years for women's suffrage. Only 1 of the 68 women at the first women's rights convention lived to see victory. But that's not depressing –it's inspiring, because it shows massive change IS possible with persistence.
4️⃣ Stop Wasting Your Talent on Bullsh*t Jobs: Bregman's furious at smart, university-educated people working in what he calls the "Bermuda Triangle of Talent" – consultancy, corporate law, and finance. These are jobs that often destroy more value than they create. His message: society invested in your education through taxes paid by nurses and plumbers, so stop helping billionaires avoid taxes and start using your skills to fix the system instead.
