KEY FACTS: 1️⃣ We are paying for jobs that shouldn't exist. 3,000 salespeople now "sell" us electricity, when before privatization we had 0 salespeople. Electricity was a simple utility, like water.
2️⃣ The electricity system got 25% worse after "efficiency" upgrades. Every other industry got 33% more productive between 1995-2013, while the Energy sector went 25% backwards after privatization. There is now 217% more managers coordinating what used to be one simple system.
3️⃣ Half your power bill = Corporations Profiting on infrastructure you paid to build. Up to a whopping 50% of your power bill goes to "distribution fees", these are the poles, wires, and networks taxpayers originally built. Now private companies (owned by foreign billionaires) charge you rent on your own infrastructure.
